Perry Ruff

WAYNESVILLE-Perry Eugene " Butch" Ruff, age 61, formally of Bird Creek Drive, died on July 2, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Haywood County and the son of the late Perry S. and Gladys Hoyle Ruff. He was employed by BASF for 30 years in the maintenance department and retired in 1994. He was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church, Old Smoky Tractor Club, and served in the National Guard for eight years. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Lorena Bane Ruff, of 39 years; two sisters, Linda Ruff Sutton, of Waynesville and Peggy Ruff Burnette and her husband, Louie, of Killen, Alabama; one niece, Candi; and one nephew, Scott.
