Phillip Douglas Blaylock

Phillip Douglas Blaylock, a beloved member of the Cruso Community in Haywood County, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024.  He was known for his kind heart and his passion for meeting and befriending people and for old Fords.
 
Born on January 4, 1950, in Haywood County, Phillip graduated from Pisgah High School in 1968. He pursued a fulfilling career as the Owner/Operator of Pisgah Auto Parts, where he dedicated himself to assisting others whenever he could.
 
Phillip Blaylock is survived by his two sons, Phillip Curtis Blaylock (Kim) of Fletcher, and Douglas Bradford Blaylock of Cruso; his sister Debbi Hall (Ronnie) of Cruso; and brother Denver Blaylock of Cruso. He also leaves behind two grandsons, Nathan Blaylock (Madison) of Fletcher and Garrett Blaylock of Atlanta.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ralph and Ruth Garnes Blaylock, as well as his wife, Patricia O'Neil Blaylock, who passed away in 2014.
 
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at East Fork Baptist Church with the Reverend Mark Tice officiating.  Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time at the church.

Phillip's legacy of generosity and love for both people and classic cars will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
