Phillip Jones

Candler, Phillip Lynn Jones, age 52, passed away at Memorial Mission Campus. A native and livelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Margaret Monteith Jones and the late Marshall Weaver Jones. Phillip was a member of Clyde Central United Methodist Church. He enjoyed cooking, listening to music and following the Atlanta Braves. In addition to his mother he is survived by one sister, Marsha Stalcup, and her husband, Tony of Clyde; one brother, Michael Jones, and his wife, Nancy, of Atlanta, GA., and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Park with the Reverend Randy Tingle officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Plains United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Canton Community Kitchen, P.O. Box 513 Canton, NC 28716.
