Canton – Phyllis Ann McElrath, 76, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Moody and Lucille Justice McElrath. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Joe McElrath.
Phyllis was a graduate of Canton High School and retired from Southern Maintenance with over 20 years of service as an office manager.
She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Ingle and husband, Bobby and Teri Taylor and husband, John, of Canton; a son, Micheal Jones and wife, Tracy, of Canton; five sisters, Mary Sue Reece of Warne, Barbara Sue Miller and Martha Pitts, both of Candler, Audrey Worley of Acworth, Georgia, and Vicky Donaldson of Hayesville; two brothers, Max McElrath of Canton and Richard Cope of Morganton; six grandchildren, Jacob, Aaron, April, Will, Kaitlynn and Carter; and five great-grandchildren, Malachi, Emma, Elijah, Luke and Nathaniel.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
