Polly Ketner

Lois "Polly" Plott Ketner, age 85, of Plott Creek Road died Saturday, January 22, 2005 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Vaughn and Faye Snyder Plott. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Bill Plott. She graduated from Waynesville Township High School and Blanton's Business College and was a former employee of CP&L and Martin Electric. She was a member of Hazelwood Presbyterian Church and attended Hazelwood Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Leatherwood and her husband, Mike of Waynesville and Mary Frances Britt and her husband, Jack of Hazelwood; a niece Patty Edwards of Alexandria, VA; two nephews, Bill Plott of Seaside, CA and Johnny Plott of Waynesville and two grandchildren, Laura Elizabeth Leatherwood of Etowah and Michael Shawn Leatherwood and his wife, Michele of Waynesville. A memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 24 at the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverend Charles Dean and Reverend Patrick Womack officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Judy Leatherwood, 502 Shelton Street, Waynesville.
