Priscilla Hooper

Canton-Priscilla Hall Hooper , 64 of 496 Burnette Cove Road, died Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at her residence.

Priscilla was a native of Syracuse, NY and spent most of her adult life in Poultney, VT and Palm Coast, FL. She was the daughter of the late Leroy and Josephine Bixby Hall. She was retired office manager for ITT Engineering Services in Palm Coast, FL. In her retirement, she was a volunteer for Haywood Christian Ministries, enjoyed quilting and was an avid gardener. Priscilla was also a member of the Canton First United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by a brother; Richard Hall and a granddaughter; Katelyn Konicki.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Carl Glenn "Bud" Hooper, five grateful children: Martin Eric Hooper of Daytona Beach, FL; Diane H. Schell of Minneapolis, MN; Lynn H. Konicki of West Palm Beach, FL; Charles Douglas Hooper of St. Augustine, FL; and Julie Anne Hooper of Canton. She is also survived by her brother Douglas S. Hall of Las Vegas, NV; her step-mother Cecil Hall Tufts of Mount Dora, FL; and six beautiful grandchildren.

A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2002 at the Canton First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Lynda Briggs and Reverend Clay Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Canton First United Methodist Church, Stained Glass Fund, 29 Newfound St, Canton, NC 28716; Hospice of Haywood County, Home Health Building, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721 or to Haywood Christian Ministries, 150 Branner Avenue, Waynesville, NC 28786.
