Ralph Stiles

Ralph C. Stiles, age 74, of 90 Stiles Road, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at MedWest Haywood. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Carl and Maggie Chapman Stiles. He retired from Champion International with 40 years of service. Ralph was a very active member of Plains United Methodist Church and was a member of Mountain Top Emmaus and Chrysalis communities. He was a founding member with the North Canton Volunteer Fire Department. Ralph's interests included a love for the outdoors and he was truly a "Man of God". He served as a father figure to many. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Sue Gates Stiles of Canton; one daughter, Amy S. Turner and her husband, Matthew, of Douglasville, Georgia; one son, Timothy Gregg Stiles, and his wife, Annette, of Waynesville; a sister, Mary Stiles Meade of Canton; three grandchildren, Rubye Caroline Stiles, Megan Paige and Bradley Garrett Turner; two special nieces; Patricia and Mary Margaret Meade; and a great-nephew, Jackson Meade. A celebration of the life of Ralph Stiles will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Ryan Snider officiating.
