Ralph Valliere

"Proud Marine Corps Veteran" Clyde – Ralph Alfred Valliere, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at MedWest Haywood. A native of York County, Maine, he was a son of the late Adelard and Jeanne Boisvert Valliere. Ralph also resided in Pontiac, Michigan, but spent most of his life in Lake Worth, Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, to whom he was married for 66 years, Florence Marie Valliere and a daughter Jeannette Doris Valliere. Ralph had a wonderful sense of humor and you could always see him laughing. He also loved to "tinker" and work in his garage. He was a very proud United States Marine Corps veteran having served during World War II in the Guadal Canal. He is survived by a daughter, June Azzaro and her husband, Arthur, of Waterford, Michigan; one son, Joseph Valliere and his wife, Deborah, of Clyde; one sister, Lucille Hebert and her husband, Louis; two brothers, Ronald Valliere and his wife, Gladys, and Marcel Valliere and his wife, Bernie; five grandchildren, Shane David, Matthew Joseph, and Stephen Ryan Valliere, all of Clyde, Angela Danielle Azzaro of Waterford, Michigan, and Nicholas Angelo Azzaro of Ann Arbor, Michigan; and eight great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Homestead, 127 Sunset Ridge, Clyde, NC 28721.
