Randall Wayne "Randy" Pitts, age 48, of 116 Turnpike Road, died unexpectedly Friday, November 7, 2008. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Wayne Hilliard and Ovieda Banks Pitts. He was employed as a car salesman with Ken Wilson Ford of Canton. Randy was also WPTL 920 AM's Pisgah Football Radio Broadcast analyst and served as the Pisgah High beat writer for The Mountaineer. He is survived by his wife, Joan Bradburn Pitts; two sons, Jordan Wayne Pitts of Waynesville, and Jonathan Tyler Pitts of Church Hill, TN; one step-son, Joey Farmer of Canton; two sisters, Rhonda Byrd and her husband, Ron, of Asheville, and Alisha Henson and her husband, Larry, of Bethel; one grandchild, Paigen Alexandria Bradley; his mother-in-law, Jo Bradburn; two nephews, Cody Henson and Cody Bradburn; and two nieces, Keisha Henson and Kasey Brooks. A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Wells Funeral Home of Canton. Memorials may be made to Pisgah Athletic Department, No. 1 Black Bear Drive, Canton, NC 28716.
