Randall Singleton

Waynesville-Randy Singleton, age 51, died Friday, March 9, 2007 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Bobbie Jean and Roger Singleton of Canton. He was employed at the University of North Carolina at Asheville as a carpenter for four and one-half years and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife of 13 years, Elaine; two daughters, Hollie Singleton of Sevierville, Tennessee and Amanda Smith of Canton; one sister, Jody Singleton of Canton; two brothers, Daryl Singleton and his wife, Mary Lou of Killen, Alabama and Mike Singleton and his wife, Clara of Canton and seven grandchildren. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Mount Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Perry Brindley officiating. Memorials may be made to Mount Zion Baptist Church Library, 269 Dix Creek Road, Canton, NC 28716.
