Randy Hampton

Waynesville, Randy McCree Hampton, age 61, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Haywood County and served in the United States Air Force for 23 years retiring in 1992. He returned to Haywood County. He was the son of the late Jessie E. and Margie Webb Hampton and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Rhymer and Gail Crawford. Randy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Aline Hampton; a daughter, Janice Brookshire of Grand Forks, ND; two sons, Randy Hampton and his wife, Rachael of Phillipsburg, MR and Dewayne Hampton of Waynesville; a sister, Arlene Morales and her husband, Simon of GA; three brothers, Jesse Hampton and his wife, Helen of Marshall, NC, Greg Hampton and his wife, Paula of TX and Rick Hampton of GA, ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Nelson and Reverend Millard Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
