Raymond Gleaves

Raymond E. Gleaves, 75, of Leicester, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2009. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Wanda Gleaves.

Mr. Gleaves was a member of Asheville United Christian Church and a veteran of the US Navy. He worked for several years in the maintenance department at AB Tech and loved hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife Donna Gleaves of the home, son, Raymond Gleaves, sister, Katherine Simpson of TN, step-daughter, Rhonda Brault of Asheville, three step-sons, Dale Byrd, Joshua and David Wood all of Leicester.

A graveside service will be held 1PM on Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Larry Nix officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Buncombe County Veterans Council Memorial Team.

A memorial service will be held 1PM on Sunday at Asheville United Christian Church.
