Waynesville-Raymond Roscoe Hannah, 73, went to be with Jesus with his loving family beside him on Friday, January 21, 2005 after a long battle with cancer. He was a native of Haywood County but had lived the last five years in Newport, TN. He was the son of the late McKinnley and Bertha Phillips Hannah and was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lucy Earnest, Elsie Roberts and Laura Jane Domnic and one brother, Andy Hannah. He is survived by his loving wife Anna Hannah, a loving son, Ricky Hannah and his wife Tina of Flagstaff, AZ, his loving daughter Patricia Hannah and her husband Bill Price of Waynesville, a stepdaughter, Josephine Lewis of Waynesville, three stepsons, Chuck and Dale Cochran of Sylva and Richard Colvard of Asheville, six sisters, Hazel Duke of Salisbury, Beulah French of Florida, Hazel Davenport and Rosa Lee Brown of South Carolina and Ada Conard and Jessie Hannah of Tennessee, seven brothers, Henderson Hannah of New Jersey, James Hannah of Wallace, NC, Kenneth Hannah of Old Fort, NC, Daniel Hannah of South Carolina, Earnest and Billy Joe Hannah of Tennessee and Jack Hannah of Waco, NC and fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was retired from Harrison Construction/APAC of Tennessee as a supervisor. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24th in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Chuck Cochran, Tony Price, Randall Hoglen, James Mathis, Rick Harris and Junior Mayfield as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 23rd from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at 90 Stiles Road in Canton, NC 28716.
