Reba Pierson

Reba Ellis Pierson, age 90, of Rickman Nursing Center died Friday, May 27, 2005. She was born in Hiawassee, GA and had resided in Haywood and Buncombe Counties throughout her life. She was the daughter of the late James Claude and Jane Hopkins Ellis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon and Horace Ellis. Mrs. Pierson was a retired cashier for Eckerd Drug Store and was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. Bell and her husband, John of Candler and Jane Capps of North Miami Beach, FL; one son, Lawrence J. Allen and his wife, Shirley of Pueblo West, CO; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29 at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road with the Reverend Dennis Thurman officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 - 3:30 prior to the services at Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Canton.
