Reenie M Suskiewich

Reenie McInerney Suskiewich, 68, of Waynesville, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at her residence. A native of Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Williams McInerney and the late James McInerney.

Reenie took great pride in her career as a hairstylist for 40 years. She loved her clients, who were more like family to her. She never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation everywhere they went, always seeking out children and fur babies. Her favorite times were hiking with Tom, walking Lake Junaluska and day trips to Tennessee where they would enjoy dining out. She also took great pleasure in doing word search puzzles. 

In addition to her mother, Elizabeth, she is survived by her husband of ten years, Tom Suskiewich and half-sister, Debi Riley.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Memorial Chapel Lake Junaluska with Reverend Gary Hearon officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Disease Research Foundation, 1236 Ginger Crescent, Virginia Beach, VA 23453.
