Clyde-Reverend James Vincent DiStasio, Jr., age 60, of Honeysuckle Street, died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Britthaven of Clyde. A native of New Haven, Connecticut, he had resided in Haywood County for the past 17 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ceri Austin DiStasio, in 2002. He was founder and served as pastor of Victory House Praise and Worship Center in Clyde up until the time of his death. He was also a member of the Evangelist Fellowship, Heaven Saints, and WNC Prison Ministries. He is survived by his parents James Vincent DiStasio, Sr. and Jacqueline DiStasio of Clyde; two daughters, Lori DiStasio, of Weaverville and Alicia DiStasio of Rhode Island; four sons, James DiStasio, III and his wife, Penny, of Tennessee, Vincent DiStasio and his wife, Darlene, of Arizona, Anthony DiStasio, of Arizona, and Michael DiStasio of Connecticut; a sister, Joyce Banks and her husband, James, of Clyde; two brothers, William DiStasio and his wife, Gail, of Connecticut and Keith DiStasio and his wife, Kim, of Arizona; and seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2004 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with Reverend Dr. Frank Harvey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and fellowship following at Victory House Praise and Worship Center in Clyde.
