Waynesville, Reverend Albert Fred Frady, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, April 3rd. He was born September 25, 1928 in Rutherford County to the late I.G. and Nannie Frady and had resided in Haywood County since 1948. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters, Mary and Martha Frady; son, Tommy Frady; grandson, Brian Frady; and 8 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Duncan Frady; his children, Wayne and Brenda and Terry and Becky, of Waynesville; his granddaughters Kelli Setzer and her husband, Allen, also of Waynesville and Kimberly Frady of Rock Hill, SC; his great granddaughters, Allison Setzer and Adri Frady; a sister, Dorothy Burns of Forest City, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and countless friends. Fred pastored several churches throughout Haywood County during his 33 years in the ministry and at the time of his death, was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church. His heart's desire was to preach the Gospel of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Green Valley Baptist Church. Dr. Roy Kilby, Reverend Ricky Wolfe, and Reverend James Stinnett will officiate. Burial will follow at Balsam Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Sam Cable, Sam Barnette, Keith Messer, Tony McClure, Junior Jones, Mark Jones, Wilson Chambers, and Johnny Swanger. Ministers of the Haywood Baptist Association will serve as honorary pallbearers. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to a charitable organization of your choice. "Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life."
