Waynesville, Reverend Robert Wayne Little, age 76, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at his residence. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Floyd Granville and Maybell Mauldin Little. Bob was a graduate from East Mecklenburg High School. He attended Brevard College, transferred to High Point University where he was a graduate and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Bob then attended Duke University and received his Masters of Divinity Degree. Bob served as a United Methodist Pastor for 44 years in the Western North Carolina Conference and ministered nine churches caring for God's people with overwhelming compassion and understanding. Bob also taught courses in Christian Education in the United Methodist conference Local Pastors' School for numerous years. He has left his legacy of touching the lives of others in positive, loving ways. Bob loved to read and enjoyed listening to all types of music. He had a special love for the Lake Junaluska singers. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Diana Esau Little; a daughter, Kim Bolden and her husband, Eric, of Clyde, NC; a son, Sean Little and his wife, Hope, of San Diego, California; two sisters, Betty Kornegay, of Huntersville, NC and Jane Stewartt of Delmar, California; two grandchildren, Kailey and Leighann Little; his mother-in-law, Emma C. Esau; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Bob will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Clyde Central United Methodist Church with Reverend Dan Gaddy officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent to Clyde Central United Methodist Church, P.O.
