Rhonda Corley

Waynesville, Rhonda Ward Corley, age 48, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 06, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. She fought a hard fight and always kept her faith in God. Rhonda was born October 18, 1966 in Morganton, NC and grew up in McDowell and Union counties. She was the daughter of the late Barney Ward and Eloise Parker Allen. She was employed by McDowell County and Haywood County schools as a nutritionist. Rhonda was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, she enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies who meant the world to her. Rhonda was the beloved wife of Frank Corley. She leaves behind her two sons, Colby Corley (Taylor) of Cruso and Dawson Corley of Waynesville; two sisters, Deborah Lloyd and (Donnie) of Charlotte and Sharon Lamb of Bethel; two grandbabies, Brylan and Emori Corley which she adored; her beloved nieces, Amanda Godfrey (Jeff), Natasha Valencia, Nikki and Brooke Vallini, Mashonda Ward and one nephew, Shawn Vallini; as well as numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews, close friends including her best friend Teresa Conrad. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Charlie Shaver officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the Wells Events & Reception Center.
