Waynesville, Rhonda Inman Trantham, age 61, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
A native of Haywood County she was a daughter of Anna Ammons Inman and the late Rubin Inman. In addition to her dad, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Clara Inman. Rhonda was employed by Allied Universal Security Services, as a security guard at Evergreen Packaging. She enjoyed flowers, music and was an avid reader. Rhonda collected recipes, cookbooks and watched cooking shows to learn new recipes so she could prepare meals for her family to enjoy.
Rhonda is survived by her husband of 45 years, Roger Trantham; daughter, Angela Reece; son, Shane Trantham (Dana); sister Rita Wias (Artie); two brothers, Jimmy Inman (Kate) and Doug Inman; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor Peggy Elkins and Pastor Matthew Pressley officiating. Burial will follow at Fulbright Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wake Forest Baptist Cancer Center, Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157.
The care of Mrs. Trantham has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
