Richard Gibson

"1944 – 2015" Waynesville – James Richard Gibson, age 71, passed away Monday, December 07, 2015 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Richard Ethel and Pearl Louise King Gibson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Nina M. Young; and two brothers, Thomas Gibson and twin brother, Robert E. Gibson. Richard enjoyed working on cars and wood working. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patricia Ann Mann Gibson; one daughter, Sharon Gibson Meyers and her husband, Dan, of Waynesville; one son, Doug A. Mann of Unicoi, Tennessee; two sisters, Doris Messer and Susie Thomason both of Canton; and two grandchildren, Eli Myers and Rebecca Tucker. At this time no services are planned. Wells Funeral Home of Canton is in charge of the arrangements.
