Richard Hale

May 13, 1944 — April 16, 2003

Asheville-Richard Lloyd Hale, age 58 of 490 Old County Road, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at Memorial Mission Hospital of a heart attack.

He was a native of Buncombe County and lived there most of his life. He was a son of Cora Lee Haynes Hale of Clyde and the late Robert Lowery Hale. He was employed by T. A. Truck Stop in Candler. He loved to travel and fish and was a road warrior. His other love was his dog Dante.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 18 years, Choicette Warren Hale, two sons, John Christopher Lee, Sr. of Candler, Benjamin Warren Lee of Waynesville, one brother, Bob Hale of Hendersonville, 2 grandchildren, John Christopher Lee, Jr. and Monica Joanne Lee, both of Candler, mother-in-law Juanita Warren of Byram, MS and a sister-in-law, Gina Hancock and her husband Jimmy of Byram, MS.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2003 at Haynes Family Cemetery in Clyde with Reverend James Parham officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. at Wells Funeral Homes of Canton prior to the graveside service.
