Waynesville- Richard "Ricky" Muse, age 60, of 87 Bonnie's Lane, died Friday, September 22, 2006 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was employed by Dayco for 20 years as a materials expediter and retired in 1985 and was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church. He resided in Edgewater, FL from 1985 until 2004. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late William Muse. He is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Bertie Ensley; his grandparents, Vance and Muriel Muse; his mother-in-law, Roberta Gossett and a grandson, Seth Godwin. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Emily Jean Gossett Muse; a daughter, Tina Muse Goodwin and her husband, Eric of Bristol, GA; his mother, Edna Ensley Muse of Waynesville; two sons, Shawn Muse and his wife, Sandra of Edgewater, FL, Spencer Muse and his wife, Cindy of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Debbie Muse Long and her husband, Martin of Lake Logan; two brothers, Victor Muse and Steve Muse and his wife, Twila, both of Waynesville; five grandchildren, Caleb and Rebekah Crawford of Oakhill, FL; Savannah, Rhiannon and Naomi Goodwin of Bristol, GA. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2006 in the chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services in Waynesville with the Reverend Dr. Jack Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times, at the residence.
