Richard Reifert

Sylva, Richard Henry Reifert, age 62, of 63 Morning Mist Lane, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 27, 2008. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he moved to Haywood County in 2000 and had resided in Jackson County since 2006. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Maurice Reifert. Mr. Reifert received his Masters of Education Degree in Community Agency Counseling at Cleveland State University and his Masters of Business Administration at Miami University of Ohio. He was a retired manager of Ohio Bell Ameritech with 23 years service. He was an avid book collector, movie buff, and dowser and attended the Creative Thought Center of Waynesville. He is survived by his mother, Helen Marie Ligas Reifert of Sun City, Arizona and his wife of 35 years, Lesley Reifert. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Creative Thought Center. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
