Richard West

Richard Wilson "Dick" West, age 72, of 3488 Broad Street died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Haywood County and the son of the late Jack and Billie Taylor West. He was a self-employed truck driver and a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. He was very active member in the Haywood County Democrat Party. In addition to his wife of 42 years, Elinor, he is survived by a step-daughter, Michelle Shelle of Elkhart, IN; a step-son, Richard Bainter of Nappanee, IN and 3 grandchildren. Graveside memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2005 at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Clyde with the Reverend Tim McRee officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Memorials may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church Building Fund, 99 Academy Street, Canton, NC 28716.
