Rita Heiler

Canton- Rita Charboneau Heiler, age 88, of Dix Creek Road, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at her residence. A native of Jackson, MI she had resided in Gaylord, MI and had lived in Haywood County since 1983. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Helen Jensen Charboneau. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Charles Heiler who died in 2005; one son, Robert "Bob" Eugene Heiler; three sisters, Geraldine Brady, Eva Mae Warwick, Evalyn Colt and one brother, Bernard Charboneau. She worked at Haywood Regional Medical Center and retired from the State of Michigan as a nurse. Rita enjoyed working in her yard, traveling and spending time with her 2 dogs. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Seevers and her husband, Bob, of Roanoke Rapids, NC; two sons, Vern Arthur Heiler, and his wife, Ann, of Charlotte and Mark Douglas Heiler, and his wife, Pam, of Canton; three brothers, Patrick Charboneau of Bay City, MI, Michael Charboneau of Retsil, WA , and James Charboneau and his wife, Jane, of St. Louis, MO., 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday March 8, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Father Larry LoMonaco officiating. Burial will follow in the New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
