Robert Arrington

Waynesville-Robert Stephen Arrington, 43, of Sheriff Drive, died Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at his home. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of C. Jack and Lillian Turner Arrington. He was a former employee of the N.C. Department of Corrections and the Haywood County Sheriffs Department. He was a member of the church Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a member of Woodmen of the World and Fraternal Order of Police. In addition to his parents, Steve is survived by a sister, Mary Arrington of Waynesville; two brothers, Jack T. Arrington of Canton and C. Joe Arrington and his wife Sherri of Crabtree; two nephews, Benjamin and Calan, two nieces, Jessica and Jasmine and three great nephews Marcus, Kiery and Cobe. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2006 at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints with Bishop Russell Brown, Reverend Mike Shuford, Brother Bobby Davis, Brother Shawn Weaver and Brother Robert Naegle officiating. Burial will follow at Ratcliffe Cove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Daryl Calhoun, Josh Ledford, Mike Corbin, Albert Allen, Jim Parton and Roger Reeves. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Balance, Tommy Ratcliffe, Benjamin Parker, Tim, William, Mike and Albert "Red" Arrington. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Haywood County Rescue Squad, P.O.
