Robert Campbell

Waynesville-Robert Perry "Robb" Campbell, Jr., age 20, of 87 Hayes Street, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2010. Robb was a native of Haywood County and was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Floyd Campbell and Jane Fisher Campbell, Carroll Eugene Cabe, and Aunt Harriett Kaye Campbell. Robb attended Tuscola High School and graduated from Lewisville High School in Lewisville, Texas. He served as an Ensign in the US Navy aboard the USS Rushmore stationed in San Diego, California. Robb was an avid athlete. He excelled in golf, soccer, basketball, and snowboarding and was a lifetime member of the Woodsmen of the World Society. Robb received Jesus Christ in his heart at Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Texas. While serving at Fellowship Church, he was chosen to represent his congregation on a mission trip to Honduras. Robb was a devoted and loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. He will be remembered for his compassionate spirit, strong work ethic, and a marvelous sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his parents, Robert Perry and Patrice Cabe Campbell , one sister, Madeline Beatrice Campbell; and maternal grandmother, Betty Brown Cabe all of Waynesville; and aunt and uncles, Vivian and Charles Lollar of Norfolk, Virginia and James Lee Campbell of Lexington, Kentucky. Additionally, he is survived by an extended group of loving and supportive cousins. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend Steve Taylor officiating. Military rites will be conducted following the service. A celebration of Robb's life will follow the services in the church fellowship hall.
