Waynesville, Robert Scovill Feller, age 86, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at The Homestead Hospice Center. A native of Rockford, Illinois, born on April 4, 1930, he was the son of the late Frank and Nellie Preston Scovill Feller. Bob graduated from East Rockford High School in 1948 and Beloit College in 1953. He attended Northwestern University for graduate studies in broadcasting, and served as a radio newscaster in Illinois, Wisconsin and Florida. For over 20 years Bob worked for Derek Prince Ministries in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and subsequently Charlotte, North Carolina. He was involved in the distribution of Derek Prince's radio broadcast messages and his voice was, and still is, widely recognized as the announcer of the message on each recording. Bob and Nadine moved to Waynesville in 1996 after retiring from Derek Prince Ministries. Bob was a gifted photographer, loved to travel and greatly enjoyed living in the North Carolina mountains. Bob married Nadine Lindeman of Rockford, Illinois in 1957. He is survived by his wife, Nadine; four children, Deborah Feller Matthews (John), David S. Feller (Sherry), Lisa Feller Barbuto (John) and Karen Feller; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Antioch Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Hearon officiating.
