Robert Hoyle, Jr.

Union Mills, NC, Robert V. "Sonny" Hoyle, Jr., age 67 passed away at his residence. He was a native of Haywood County and was the son of the late Robert Vaughn Hoyle, Sr. and Aletha Hoyle. Sonny was also preceded in death by one sister, Stella Moore. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Sonny will always be remembered for his love of music and playing the guitar. He collected and restored cars and was also a gun enthusiast. Sonny was a kind, compassionate and caring man who will be greatly missed. He is survived by one daughter, Donna Pauley and her husband Derek of Catawba, NC; three sisters, Shelbia Norris and her husband Leon and Mary Swanger, all of Waynesville; Mae Conard and her husband Larry of Clyde; two brothers, Jimmy Hoyle and his wife Patricia of Waynesville; Joe Hoyle and his wife Janice of Sylva and several loving and loved nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Reverend Charlie Creasman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
