Waynesville, Robert Marvin Brown, age 74, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021, at his residence.
A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Marvin Reeves and Roxie Anner Smith Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Brown and his mother-in-law, Flora Mae Ball. Robert retired from Western Regional Education Center as an AV Technician in the IT department serving nine counties. He was a member of Hemphill Baptist Church. Robert was a social butterfly, never meeting a stranger, always joking with a story, was "Salt of the Earth" and enjoyed life. He was a former President of Mountaineer Antique Auto Club and was a member of several Harley Davidson Clubs. Robert enjoyed visiting car clubs and shows, carpentry, electrician, and building Street Rods.
Robert is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Yvonne Ball Brown; daughter, Heather Terwillegar, and her husband, Matthew, of Watkinsville, Georgia; son, Ryan Marc Brown, and his partner, Alyssa Hansen, of Waynesville; sister, Marlene Messer, and her husband, Bobby, of Waynesville; brother, Bruce Brown, of Waynesville; father-in-law, J.T. Ball, of Waynesville; sister-in-law, Jessica Brown, of Hendersonville; brother-in-law, Ricky Ball, and his wife, Lesa, of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Madelyn and Ian Terwillegar and Emma Brown; several nieces and nephews; and his special dog Jippy.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021, in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Zachery Plemmons and Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
The care of Mr. Brown has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
