Robert "Bobby' Owen McCarson

Robert “Bobby” Owen McCarson, Jr., 61 of Candler passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center.  A Native of Munich, Germany, he lived in Candler, NC for most of his life.  He was son of the late Robert Owen McCarson and in addition he was preceded in death by his brother, John David McCarson.

Bobby enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his mother, Carlene Walls of Candler and stepfather, Sonny of Candler; Sister, Tawanna McCarson of Sevierville, TN and Ira Bergman of Sevierville, TN; Brother, Jerry Garrett and his wife, Paula of Oklahoma City, OK and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024 in Wells Chapel of Faith with Reverend Malcolm McCarson officiating.   The family will receive friends at the chapel beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
