Robert Palen

Waynesville, Robert Glenn Palen, age 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at MedWest-Haywood. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Richard Carey and Helma Calvin Palen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Cliff" Palen, a brother Richard Palen, and a sister, Joan Stamey. Robert retired from Little Champion with 30 years service. He was an avid runner, biker, and outdoorsman. His favorite place to be was at Rainbow Springs. He is survived by his daughter, Geri Ramsey of Maggie Valley, NC; three grandchildren, Chris, Shane, and Tom Palen; and one great-grandson, Dillon Palen.
