Robert Lewis Price, born on April 30, 1945, in Buncombe County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on October 7 2024. He was 79 years old. Robert was a kind-hearted and helpful man, known for his dedication to family. For over 24 years, he was employed as a heavy operator by Mountain Shore Construction, a role that reflected his industrious nature and commitment to his work.
Robert cherished life's simple pleasures, finding joy in fishing at the lake and hunting in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina he called home. He enjoyed riding motorcycles alongside his brother and friends, embracing the camaraderie that comes with shared experiences. His hands were also skilled; he loved building and tinkering with things, always looking to improve and create.
His legacy continues through his loving family. Robert is survived by his wife, Myra Stepp Price; his children, Robert "Lewis" Price Jr. and his wife Selena, and Stacy Melinda Wise and her husband Eric; his step-children, Heather Terry, Jamie Condon, Kathleen Worley, and Jessica Shout; grandchildren, Chris Price and his wife Desirea, Mary Vess and her husband Nick, Brookelyn Wise, Peyton Wise, EJ Wise, and Christopher Johnson; step-grandchildren, Oden Terry, Shelby Worley, Olivia Worley, Charlie Worley, and Mandilynn Condon; great-grandchildren Holden Price, Makynna Price, and Mason Price; a sister, Juanita Maltry; a brother, Paul Price. The family expresses deep gratitude for the special care provided by Sarah Smith, who offered exceptional support during Robert's later years.
Robert was predeceased by his former wife and mother of his children, Sandra Autry Price; his second wife, Marsha Queen Bishop Price; and his brother, Charles Price.
The family invites friends and loved ones to come together to celebrate Robert's life. A visitation will be held on October 12, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Wells Chapel of Faith at 1:00 PM.
Robert Lewis Price will be remembered not only for his contributions to his work but for the love he shared with his family and friends. He leaves a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him, and he will be dearly missed.
