Robert Pruett

Rock Hill, SC formerly of Canton - Robert C. "Bob" Pruett passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Lloyd Grady Pruett and Ethel Alvin Allen Pruett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Kinsland Pruett; two brothers, Thomas J. and E. Jack Pruett; and a sister, Betty Turner. Bob was a veteran in the United States Navy, having served in WWII, and was employed by Southern Bell as a switchman for 33 years. He enjoyed trout fishing, gardening, traveling and camping. He was a member of Dutch Cove Baptist Church and took great pride in working with the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief teams.

He is survived by two daughters, Susan Newnam of Clayton, NC and Margaret Ann Warren and her husband, Larry, of Rock Hill, SC; one brother, Ray Lloyd Pruett of Canton; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Matt Pruett and Reverend Jason Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
