Robert Reece

April 25, 1925 — December 24, 2007

Waynesville-Robert Reece, age 82, of Unagusta Street, died on Monday, December 24, 2007 at the Brian Center. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Alvin and Macy Sisk Reece. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Erwin Reece in who died in 2000; three brothers, Elmer, W.C., and James Reece; and one sister, Elvira Reece Ledford. He was a machine operator at Lea Industries and retired after 40 years service. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and digging ginseng. He is survived by three daughters, Peggy Taylor and her husband, Chuck, of the Bethel community, Helen Inman of Waynesville, and Vivian Crawford and her husband, Ricky, of Canton; one son, Kenneth Green and his wife, Wilma, of Canton; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be John and Tim Inman, Cale Shelton, Brian Knight, Tony Moore, and Darin Hullinger. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
