Robert Robinson

Robert Earl "Bob" Robinson, age 77, of Livestock Market Drive died Saturday, February 14, 2009, at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Thurman R. and Gertrude Duckett Robinson. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Reeves Robinson. He retired from Champion International with 18 years of service and was a member of North Canton Baptist Church. Bob owned and operated Cattleman's Livestock Market with his brother and son. Bob was a member of Pigeon River Masonic Lodge #386 AF&AM for 52 years. He was a United States Army veteran serving in Korea. He is survived by his wife, of 56 years; Peggy Mann Robinson; a son, Jimmy Robinson and his fiancée, Jennifer Willis, of McCormick, SC; a daughter, Susan Stamey and her husband, Ricky, of Clyde; five grandchildren, Robbie Robinson and his wife, Angie, Adam Robinson and his wife, Jennifer, Jake Robinson, Colby Stamey, and Brandi Stamey; four great-grandchildren, Karlie and Ashlyn Robinson and Caroline and Isaiah Greer; and his friendly dog, Kasey. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2009, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Reverend Mark Caldwell and Reverend James Huey officiating.
