Rodney Medford

Waynesville, Rodney Brock Medford, Sr., age 45, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Vernon "Beaver" Medford and the late Jewel Brock Medford who died in 2007. Rodney loved working with antique cars and spending time outdoors. In addition to his father, he is survived by a son, Brock Medford and his wife, Melissa, of Ft. Bragg, NC; a daughter, Brittney Medford of Waynesville; one sister, Sherri Heatherly, of Waynesville; three aunts, Betty Sutton of Canton, Opal Hannah of Lincoln Park, Michigan and Lucille Joseph, of Waynesville; uncle, LeRoy Medford and his wife, LaVerne, of Dothan, Alabama; and numerous other relatives and close friends. No services are scheduled. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
