Roger Chambers

Canton - Roger Dale Chambers, 65, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his residence.

A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Doris Jean Parks Chambers of Canton and the late Oscar Cornelius Chambers, Jr.

Roger was a 1970 graduate of Pisgah High School and attended North Carolina State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Roger began his professional career as an employee of J. A. Jones Engineering. Much of his professional career was spent on international projects in Saudi Arabia and Iran as well as other countries. He was also a former employee of Taylor Murphy Construction. Roger was an avid outdoorsman and Christmas tree grower.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Gail Smith of Candler; and one brother, Terry Chambers of Canton.

At Roger's request, there will be no formal service and memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
