Roger Chambers

Roger Clyde Chambers, age 59, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Johnny Chambers and the late Joann Rogers Ledbetter. Roger was a 1972 graduate of Pisgah High School and the owner and operator of Ground Control, Inc. He is survived by his father, Roy Ledbetter of Waynesville; three sisters, Debbie Sorrells and her husband, Danny and Anita Inman and her husband, Verlin "Peanut", all of Waynesville, and Janet Howell and her husband, Stephen, of Canton; one brother, Bruce Chambers and his wife, Becky, of Waynesville; Alexis and Aubrey Sherrill of Waynesville were like granddaughters and held a special bond with him; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening November 23, 2012 at Wells Funeral Home in Canton. At other times, the family will be at the home of Debbie and Danny Sorrells, 63 Indian Hills Loop, Waynesville, NC 28786. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MedWest-Haywood Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
