Roger Clark

Roger Wayne Clark, age 64, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Wayne and Eula Stone Clark. He was also preceded in death by a son, Rusty Clark. He was a United States Air Force veteran and was the owner and operator of the McDonalds franchise in Canton for ten years. Roger was a big fan of Pisgah High School sports. His love for Pisgah football led to him announcing the play-by-play for ten years. Roger enjoyed building and repairing computers and he also loved his children, grandchildren, and his poodle Kizzy dearly. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Audrey Hall Clark; one daughter, Becky Kuykendall and her husband, Tommy, of Clyde; one brother, Allan Clark and his wife, Deborah, of Greenville, SC; seven grandchildren, Holly, Lindsey, Sierra, Lucas, Aaron, Skylar, and Ethan; one great-grandchild, Ayden; and a special friend and cousin, Weldon Clark. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2009 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Matthew Pruett and Reverend Darren Pace officiating. Entombment will follow at The Horizon at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
