Roger Soltis

Waynesville, Roger Wayne Soltis, age 76, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at his home following a long struggle with cancer. Roger was born in Little Falls, Minnesota, and he was the son of the late John and Alice Misbe Soltis. He was a chemical engineer and a graduate from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia and a veteran of the United States Navy. Roger is survived by his wife of 47 years, Laura Woody Soltis and their children, Jonathan M. Soltis, Stephen F. Soltis, and Alice M.A. Seckinger, and their families. A visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville. At his request, no additional services will be held. Memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Foundation, 262 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
