Asheville ' Ron Fagan Sr., 75, of Hendersonville passed away Tuesday, June 5th after a brief illness. Born in Asheville in 1936, Ron lived and worked here until moving to Hendersonville in 2009 with his late wife of 53 years Nancy Fagan, who preceded him in death in February 2012. Ron had a varied career, including a period as Director of Admissions at Cecil's College, now South College, in the 1980s. A man of strong faith, Ron was loved and cared for dearly by his wife and three children.
Ron is survived by son W. Ron Fagan, Jr. and wife Ann Kiser Fagan of Asheville, NC; daughter Teri Jeanne Fagan and partner James Hoffman of Fletcher, NC; daughter Tracy Carmen Fagan Brown and husband Matt Brown of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren Daniel Gregory Miller of Fletcher, NC; Jourdan Jeanne Miller and partner P.J. Davis of Asheville, NC; Natalie Escher Fagan Brown of Mooresville, NC; great-granddaughters Stella Jeanne Miller and Olivia Marie Miller, both of Asheville, NC; and brothers Jerry Benjamin Fagan and Michael 'Mike' Robert Fagan, both of Asheville. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford Henry Fagan and Ruby Zelma Wise Fagan, and his brother Jimmie Clifford Fagan.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 9th at Crossroads Assembly Church, 20 South Bear Creek Road, Asheville with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
