Ronald Autrey

Waynesville-Ronnie Autrey, 42, of 641 East Street, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 18, 2006. A native of Yancey County, he has been a resident of Haywood County for 35 years. He is the son of James "Moe Bandy" and Shelia Bodford Autrey. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Dorothy Autrey and maternal grandmother Kansas McMahan. Ronnie attended New Covenant Church, and was a Self-employed Auto Body Painter. He enjoyed golf, fishing, deer hunting and working on computers. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Kari and Brooke Autrey; one sister, Mary Autrey; granddaughter, Jordan Evans; one niece, Wendy Stiles; girlfriend, Stephanie Reece and Ex-wife, Laura Sabella, who all loved him dearly. Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2006 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Education Fund for Kari and Brooke Autrey.
