Ronald Burke

Waynesville, NC - Surrounded by his loving family, Ronald Jay Burke, age 72, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at his home Born on March 22, 1943 in Statesville, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Burke. Ronald received his Bachelor's Degree from Erskine College and was employed at General Electric, retiring as a regional manager. Ronald is survived by his wife of 50 years, Amy Garrett Burke; a daughter, Lynn Perzel and husband, Matt, of Charlotte; a son, Rob Burke and wife, Stacy, of Waynesville; four loving grandchildren, Amy and Madison Perzel and Anna and Paul Burke; one brother, Frank Burke; and a sister, Marlyn Smith. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Center Pigeon Baptist Church in Canton, of which he was a member. Pastor Scott Poole will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall. A special "Thanks" to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice for their loving care.
