Ronald David "Pops" Passmore, age 58, of Surrett Road died on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at his residence. A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late John Woodrow and Pearlie Mae Dunbar Passmore. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Jonathan Passmore. He was employed with Ken Wilson Ford as an IT director. Before anything else, Ronald cherished his family. He was a committed husband, father, and brother. He enjoyed riding backwoods on his motorcycle with the love of his life, Vicki. He was also an accomplished musician, sound engineer, and computer technician. He was a walking testimony to his family and he will be loved until the day after forever. He was a United States Army veteran. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Vicki Lynn Passmore; four sons, Zaxon Chase and Zebulon Passmore of Candler, Josh Morrell of Nashville, TN, and Jonathan Hollified of Candler; a daughter, Angie Hollifield of Candler; three sisters, Barbara Webb and her husband, Harold, Doris Ashe and her husband, David, and Susan Passmore all of Candler; a brother Jack Passmore and his wife, Mildred, of Candler; five grandchildren, Odesyeus, Keely, and Zoe Passmore, Cheyenne Crawford and Kacyn Hollifield. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain with the Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home in Canton. At other times, the family will be at Ronald's residence.
