In Loving Memory of Ronda Jean Wallen

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Ronda Jean Wallen, who, with her faith in Christ, fought a brave battle with cancer for five years. Ronda passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, at the age of 57. Her strength, courage, and unwavering love have left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Ronda was born on August 22, 1967, to Charles Ronald “Ronnie” Wallen and Barbara Wallen, and was blessed with a heart that was as big as the love she gave. She was a devoted mother, daughter, and Mimi, and her life was a testament to the power of kindness, grace, and generosity. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Charles “Ronnie” Wallen, and is survived by her mother, Barbara Wallen; her two daughters, Chloe Johnson (Luke) and Katie Messer (Craig); and her five cherished grandchildren: Chesney, Presley, and Holston Messer, and Lainey and Emery Johnson, who were truly the light of her life and her entire world.

Ronda’s love for her grandchildren was immeasurable. She was their greatest fan, their biggest supporter, and the most loving Mimi imaginable.

Ronda also had a deep love for traveling, whether it was to the beach or out West. She cherished every moment spent with her family and friends, making memories and sharing laughter.

Her heart was always full when she was surrounded by the people she loved, and she created countless memories that will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be a part of them. Her spirit, her kindness, and her endless love for her family and friends will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial donations may be made in Ronda's honor to Casting for Hope, 116 South Sterling Street, Suite 204, Morganton, NC, 28655.

A receiving of friends and family will be held from 3pm to 5pm, Sunday, February 9, 2025, in the Chapel of Faith of Wells Funeral Home, 1 Chapel of Faith Drive, Candler, North Carolina, 28715.
