Rose Wenzel

Lake Junaluska-Rose K. Wenzel, age 95, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2005 at Silver Bluff. Born in Matawan, New Jersey, on the fourth of July, she also married her husband of 75 years, Frederick G. Wenzel, on the fourth of July and passed away on her very special date. She served as municipal clerk for the town of Matawan, New Jersey for 30 years. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Dr. Frederick G. Wenzel and his wife, Judith, of Clyde and Dr. Donald Wenzel and his wife, Rose Marie, of Chapel Hill, NC; a daughter, Eileen Adams and her husband, Dr. Martin Adams, of Flemington, NJ; and seven grandchildren, including Dr. Christopher Wenzel of Lake Junaluska and Derek Wenzel, a local attorney of Waynesville; and twelve great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with Father Frank Doyle officiating.
