Rosemary "Rose" Lewis passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024, at the age of 91. Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, she was the eldest of four children and grew up in a home where hospitality and faith were central values. Rose was an exemplary student and graduated high school at 16 to pursue a career in nursing, a profession she loved that spanned 40 years.
While studying at Fletcher Hospital in North Carolina, Rose met a charming young man named Glenn Lewis. They were married nearly 70 years, and built a life together framed by hard work and their faith. Rose was well known for her excellent cooking, love of flowers, and for her hospitality and gentle spirit.
Despite being diagnosed with a debilitating illness in her 60s, Rose remained a beacon of optimism, living and thriving far beyond the doctors' expectations. Despite her suffering, her unwavering faith in God’s goodness was a cornerstone in her life. Rose's legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Glenn, their three children, Gary (Toni), Karen (Bill) and Linda (Tim), six grandchildren and their partners, and three great-granddaughters as well as two sisters, Doris Arnold, Virginia Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
