Rosemary Swanger

"1945 – 2016" Waynesville – Rosemary Giles Swanger, 70, of the Bethel Community, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at her home. A native of Champaign, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Henry Giles and Mary Jane Purgett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Debbie Deal; and one brother, William Giles. Rosemary worked as a controller at Silver Line Plastics of Asheville. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Lewis Swanger; one son, David Swanger and wife, Jessica, of Sylva; one step-daughter, Amy Wilde and husband, George, of High Point; three step-sons, Greg Swanger of Seguin, Texas, Buz Swanger and wife, Freida, and Darrell Swanger and wife, Dani, all of Canton; one brother, Jim Giles and wife, Carla, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; a half-brother, Aaron Giles; a half-sister, Kathy Sharber and husband, Keith, all of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren, Caleb, Ty, Carla, Mandy, Anna Lee, Holly, Matthew, Luanna, Tyler, Lily, Payton, and Erica; and six great-grandchildren, Devon, Hunter, Kenzie, Gracie, Paige, and Andrew. At Rosemary's request, no services are planned. Wells Funeral Home of Canton is in charge of the arrangements.
